Hope Ignites by Jaci Burton - ARC Review

Logan McCormack likes his isolated life on the ranch, until a movie crew starts filming there. When actress Desiree Jenkins blows into his life, she wrecks it harder than the Oklahoma winds with her brutal honesty and soft touch. Des knows this is a temporary stay, but she loves the open freedom of the land, and for the first time in her life, Des feels like she might have found a place she can call home, with a man she might be falling in love with. But Logan’s heart is tougher than the soil beneath them—can she convince him that they belong together?

Releasing March 25th – Pre-order now!

Logan McCormack is a grumpy hero, one of my favorite kinds. He enjoys his solitude and isn’t looking for a relationship and certainly not someone like Desiree Jenkins who just screams city.

I really do love the grumpy heroes they always fall the hardest. Logan is a great hero, because while he is totally grumpy and totally messes up a lot, at his core he’s a great man. He’s kind, and even sweet below that gruff exterior.

Desiree Jenkins is the kind of heroine who just doesn’t take no for an answer. The way we meet her, well it cemented her as a favorite heroine in my mind. I really enjoy her and she’s both smart and kind, she’s a big Hollywood actress, but doesn’t have that attitude of entitlement which made her easy to love.

I enjoyed being back in this setting and while this book could be read as a stand-alone I recommend the first book Hope Flames as well. It’s a great example of how sexy a small town romance can be.

I received a copy through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. I was not compensated for my review.
